About David Freeman

As Head of Organic Performance at Treatwell, I was responsible for driving organic business growth and the global strategic direction and development of their SEO. Prior to this I headed up SEO at Havas Group (Havas, Arena and Forward agencies) where I led and developed their propositions and service solutions, specifically around SEO, Content and CRO in-order to deliver long term strategic results for clients.

I have over ten years’ experience in delivering business growth across start-ups to multi-national enterprise level brands, including O2, Nationwide, National Express, Kia, Hyundai, Red Driving School, Axa, BBC, Dominos, NetJets, Westfield, Three Mobile, Which?, Tesco Mobile, EDF, Maersk, Fitness First, PKR, Virgin Games and Victor Chandler.

Having worked client side across paid, earned and owned media and held senior SEO agency side roles, I bring thought leadership from multiple viewpoints and a leading performance-driven approach. In addition, I am a columnist for Search Engine Land and speak at conferences including Search Leeds, The Advanced Search Conference, IAB Search and SES.

The launch of mirrorless DSLR’s triggered my interest in photography.  Shortly after launch I purchased a Sony NEX 5n and took a real interest in developing my photography skills.  This inspired a trip to Tromso Norway to capture the northern lights  (as shown in the above gallery and showcased futher in the photography section of the site).  From there on the camera has been on every hike and holiday.

I’m a keen tennis player (having been playing since I was old enough to hold a racket), competing within various teams at club level.  Aside from tennis, I love cycling (albeit mainly indoors on the Wattbike) and motorsport and I’m a lifelong Arsenal fan.
